The LORD is Faithful!
The Lord's faithfulness – through prayer, service, and giving by friends of Legacy Christian Academy – is evident.

Auditorium Seats and Sound
Donors had been contributing toward auditorium chair replacement since 2017. In the spring of 2024, the Legacy Fundraising Gala, which had been re-named a Knight to Remember, focused on raising money specifically to replace the wooden auditorium seats originally installed in the 1940s. Through a combination of financial giving at the 2024 Knight to Remember, funds raised during the Back-to-School Annual Fund in the fall of 2024, and Legacy board appropriation of additional funds, the cost to replace the auditorium seats, as well as a new auditorium sound system and lighting - over $400,000 in total - was met. The new sound system and lighting were installed in the spring of 2025, and new, padded auditorium seats will be installed in the summer of 2025!
Auditorium Curtains, Windows, and Cafeteria
In the spring of 2022, the first post-Covid, in-person Legacy Fundraising Gala sought to pick up the Auditorium Renovation project where it had been set aside a few years prior. The named fundraising projects for the Gala included replacing the disintegrating-in-place auditorium curtains, which were still in the maroon school color of the Ohio Soldiers' and Sailors' Orphans Home, as well as cafeteria remodeling in the lower level of the auditorium to increase service capacity due to expanding enrollment. Friends of Legacy at the Gala provided more than enough funds to replace the auditorium curtains and remodel the cafeteria service area. However, when the work commenced in the auditorium to replace the curtains, it was discovered that the windows themselves, and the plaster around the windows, needed to be replaced first, or the new curtains would quickly be ruined. The project to replace the curtains had just expanded to curtains, windows, and plaster – and the project had more than quadrupled in cost. God's faithfulness through His giving people was evident, however, and the cafeteria service area was remodeled, and the auditorium curtains, windows, and plaster were all replaced in the summer of 2022.
Auditorium Restrooms
A campaign to renovate and restore the auditorium building, which houses Legacy's cafeteria, chapel, and all fine arts performances, began in late 2017. It was an ambitious campaign, setting out to replace the aging auditorium seats and windows, as well as renovate the restrooms. Before sufficient funds were raised for the entire project, the LCA board decided to use all funds donated-to-date for a crucial portion of the project: renovating the auditorium restrooms and adding an ADA accessible restroom off the auditorium lobby.
Campus Mortgage Project

In 2016, a group of Christian parents who would go on to serve as the first LCA school board, purchased the school buildings and property that then housed Xenia Christian School, operated by the Dayton Christian School System (DCSS). Stepping out in faith, the LCA school board formed a new, independent Christian school named Legacy Christian Academy, and they immediately began LCA's first fundraising campaign to pay off its new mortgage. Through the sacrificial giving of friends of Legacy Christian Academy, LCA's mortgage was completely paid off in June 2020, after raising more than $550,000. After only four years of operation, Legacy Christian Academy was debt free, owning its own buildings and land!
