Homeschool Options

The decision to educate one's children at home is a huge commitment, and Legacy Christian Academy applauds and desires to partner with Christian families who are engaged in homeschooling programs for their children. As space allows on campus, homeschooled elementary and junior high students may participate in electives at Legacy, and high school students may earn accredited academic credit for selected courses. Additionally, students in grades 7 through 12 who take at least one academic course at Legacy each semester may participate in the wide variety of extracurricular activities — athletics, fine arts, and school community activities — available to Legacy students.

OUR GOAL IS TO WORK WITH HOMESCHOOL FAMILIES TO ENHANCE AND COMPLEMENT THEIR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING TO ACHIEVE THE GOALS THEY HAVE FOR THEIR CHILD(REN).

In order to attend Legacy, prospective homeschool families must meet all Legacy Christian Academy admissions requirements.  Additionally, all homeschool families with students attending part-time at Legacy must annually submit a copy of the letter they receive from their umbrella school or local school district superintendent excusing their student(s) from compulsory attendance.  For more information about homeschooling in Ohio, please click here
