Study Hall Supervisor

Study Hall Supervisor, Full-time


Summary:
An LCA study hall supervisor is called to educate and equip leaders for Christ within his or her study hall and other interactions with the LCA student body. The study hall supervisor is responsible for maintaining a study-conducive environment and building supportive relationships with students to hold them accountable to using their study hall time wisely, as well as performing any other duties as assigned by administration.

Legacy Christian Academy, founded in 1967 as Xenia Christian Day School, is a private, college-preparatory, non-denominational PreK-12 school that seeks to equip leaders for Christ. Students meet admissions standards both academically and spiritually. LCA’s 575 students come from a 5-county area. LCA is located on the historic site of the Ohio Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Orphans' Home and facilities include four buildings: two academic buildings, a gymnasium, and a 700-seat auditorium. LCA also uses the Wooden Family Fieldhouse and athletic fields located on the Athletes in Action campus, within walking distance from the school. LCA is fully committed to maintaining an ethnically/culturally diverse faculty and student body within a biblical community.

 
Position Requirements:
  • Full support for LCA’s mission, vision, philosophy, core values, and statement of faith
  • Passion for building relationships with students, parents, and faculty in a Christian environment with the mission of Equipping Leaders for Christ
  • A clear desire and ability to maintain a study-conducive environment and hold students accountable to using their time well
  • Demonstrated strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Team orientation
  • Patient and flexible while leading toward student success
  • Prior to Employment: State of Ohio teaching certificate or other certification permitting student oversight

     
Ideal Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in education or a related field.
  • Five years’ experience in relational leadership with students in grades 6-12
  • Ability and interest in involvement in the LCA co-curricular program (related experience preferred)
