Legacy Christian Academy Summary
Legacy Christian Academy, founded in 1967 as Xenia Christian Day School, is a private, college-preparatory, non-denominational PreK-12 school whose mission is Equipping Leaders for Christ. Students meet admissions standards both academically and spiritually. LCA’s students come from a 5-county area. LCA is located on the historic site of the Ohio Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Orphan’s Home and facilities include four buildings: two academic buildings, a gymnasium, and a 700-seat auditorium. Additionally, LCA utilizes the Wooden Family Fieldhouse and the athletic fields located on the Athletes in Action campus, located within walking distance from the school. LCA is fully committed to maintaining an ethnically/culturally diverse faculty and student body within a biblical community.
Position Summary
The Athletic Administrative Assistant supports the mission of Legacy Christian Academy by providing organized, professional, and Christ-honoring administrative support to the Athletics Department. This individual helps steward the resources God has entrusted to our school by ensuring that coaches, student-athletes, and families are served with excellence, efficiency, and care. The Athletic Administrative Assistant serves as a key point of contact for coaches, parents, officials, and visiting schools, helping to maintain smooth operations across all athletic programs. This individual must demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, integrity, confidentiality, and organization. They must be in alignment with our mission of Equipping Leaders for Christ, serving with humility, professionalism, and a heart for ministry. As a representative of the living curriculum at Legacy Christian Academy, this individual reflects Christ in all interactions and supports a culture of Christ-centered excellence within the athletic department.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma with 4 years experience OR Bachelor degree with no experience
- Obtain an ODE issued Educational-Aide or Permanent Non-Tax Certificate prior to employment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Athletic and Administrative Support:
- Assist the Athletic Department with daily administrative tasks, scheduling needs, and departmental communication.
- Communicate effectively with families, coaches, officials, visiting schools, and staff regarding schedules, updates, Rising Knights Program information, and general athletic announcements.
- Confirm referees, facilities, game times, and other event details to ensure smooth execution of all athletic contests.
- Assist with tracking coaching certifications, background checks, contracts, and compliance documents; follow up with coaches on upcoming expirations or missing items.
- Organize and assist with athletic components of Homecoming festivities, Senior Night celebrations, and other athletics-related events throughout the year.
- Create and maintain a list of game day volunteers, ensuring all individuals have completed required volunteer processes and are scheduled appropriately.
- Assist with the inventory, distribution, collection, and care of athletic uniforms; coordinate replacement or repair as needed.
- Ensure all athletic calendars, schedules, roster updates, and facility reservations are accurate, current, and communicated in a timely manner.
- Help produce or distribute athletics-related communication, including newsletters, social media updates, game announcements, and program information.
- Assist with booster communications, coordination, events, and support efforts that enhance the student-athlete experience.
- Oversee the management of the school mascot in coordination with the cheer program, ensuring scheduling, costume care, and appearance needs are met.
- Help collect, verify, and organize required athletic forms such as physicals, waivers, and eligibility paperwork.
- Schedule team and individual photos, organize media day logistics, and ensure teams receive photo packages and digital materials.
- Keep accurate records of team rosters, season results, achievements, and award recipients.
- Assist in coordinating LCA’s athletic social media presence to promote athletic events and achievements/results, as well as student athletes.
Living Curriculum Representative:
- Pursue excellence in the position at all times, maintaining a consistent heart attitude of working for the Lord and not for men (Colossians 3:23).
- Humbly serve others in a manner that reflects Christ’s love and character (Philippians 2:3), modeling godly character and encouraging others to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1).
- Serve as a minister of the gospel (Matthew 28:19-20) in leading other employees and Legacy Christian Academy students and families by example and instruction in thought, word, and deed (Philippians 4:8-9).
Miscellaneous Service:
- Participate in assigned LCA safety and security roles (e.g. door duty, lunch duty, recess duty, early room duty, fire drill and lock down procedures).
- Serve in LCA’s discipleship programs as assigned (e.g. Chapel attendance, Day of Prayer and Service)
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
- Skilled in utilizing Google Suite applications, including Google Drive.
- Ability to utilize and manage school information systems (e.g. FACTS/ Renweb) and athletic tracking and scheduling programs (e.g. FinalForms, Schedule Star)
