Legacy Christian Academy Summary
Legacy Christian Academy, founded in 1967 as Xenia Christian Day School, is a private, college-preparatory, non-denominational PreK-12 school whose mission is Equipping Leaders for Christ. Students meet admissions standards both academically and spiritually. LCA’s 600 students come from a 5-county area. LCA is located on the historic site of the Ohio Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Orphan’s Home and facilities include four buildings: two academic buildings, a gymnasium, and a 700-seat auditorium. Additionally, LCA utilizes the Wooden Family Fieldhouse and the athletic fields located on the Athletes in Action campus, located within walking distance from the school. LCA is fully committed to maintaining an ethnically/culturally diverse faculty and student body within a biblical community.
Position Summary
The Admissions & Enrollment Coordinator helps steward the mission God has entrusted to Legacy Christian Academy by welcoming and guiding families through the admissions process with Christ-centered excellence. This individual serves as a key representative of the school, providing administrative and relational support throughout each stage of inquiry, application, and enrollment. The Admissions & Enrollment Coordinator ensures that every prospective family experiences the love of Christ and gains a clear understanding of the school’s mission, values, and academic programs. This individual must demonstrate a high level of organization, integrity, attention to detail, and confidentiality while reflecting the heart of ministry in every interaction. As part of the Legacy Christian Academy team, the Admissions & Enrollment Coordinator upholds our mission of Equipping Leaders for Christ, serving families with humility, professionalism, and grace as a living example of Christ’s love in action.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma with 4 years experience OR Bachelor degree with no experience
- Obtain an ODE issued Educational-Aide or Permanent Non-Tax Certificate prior to employment
Ideal Qualifications
- Preference given to candidates with a degree related to this position
- Bachelor degree
- Five years experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Admissions Process and Enrollment Coordination:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all prospective families, providing a welcoming, Christ-centered first impression of Legacy Christian Academy.
- Guide families through each stage of the admissions process — inquiry, application, testing, interviews, enrollment, and withdrawal — with professionalism and grace.
- In coordination with the Advancement Director and Advancement Department, develop and achieve enrollment targets and campaigns.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between international applicants and their future host family and school.
- Ensure that cultural empathy, community networking, and administrative support are adhered to ensure a seamless transition for all international students.
- Exercise educational and spiritual discernment when evaluating and reviewing applications to ensure they align with LCA’s mission and core values.
- Schedule, coordinate, and lead campus tours and family meetings with administrators, principals, and teachers.
- Maintain timely and clear communication with applicants to ensure an organized and caring admissions experience.
- Represent the mission and values of LCA during open houses, community events, and recruitment activities.
- Manage and maintain all admissions records, forms, and applicant data within the school’s student information system.
- Prepare admissions reports and enrollment data for the Head of School as requested.
- Collaborate with the business office, registrar, and other departments to ensure smooth onboarding and accurate recordkeeping for new students.
- Assist in the development and distribution of admissions materials, brochures, and digital communications.
- Maintain confidentiality of student, staff, and family information, upholding ethical and professional standards.
- Model Christ-centered hospitality and integrity in all interactions with families, colleagues, and community members.
- Pray for and with families when appropriate, offering encouragement consistent with the school’s mission of Equipping Leaders for Christ.
- Support school-wide events and initiatives that promote community engagement and spiritual growth.
- Innovatively and appropriately bring technology into the position to support advancement.
- Uphold confidentiality and demonstrate discernment in handling sensitive information.
- Participate in staff devotions, chapel, and professional development that nurtures personal and spiritual growth.
Living Curriculum Representative:
- Pursue excellence in the position at all times, maintaining a consistent heart attitude of working for the Lord and not for men (Colossians 3:23).
- Humbly serve others in a manner that reflects Christ’s love and character (Philippians 2:3), modeling godly character and encouraging others to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1).
- Serve as a minister of the gospel (Matthew 28:19-20) in leading other employees and Legacy Christian Academy students and families by example and instruction in thought, word, and deed (Philippians 4:8-9).
Miscellaneous Service:
- Participate in assigned LCA safety and security roles (e.g. door duty, lunch duty, recess duty, early room duty, fire drill and lock down procedures).
- Serve in LCA’s discipleship and class mentor programs as assigned (e.g. Chapel attendance, Day of Prayer and Service, Class Mentoring).
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
- Skilled in utilizing Google Suite applications, including Google Drive
- Proficiency with LCA’s school information system for communication, documentation, and management of the admission process (e.g. FACTS SIS)
