What do you love about LCA?
I love to see how our juniors and seniors respond to and treat the younger students. I love to see them say hi to the ninth and tenth graders. I enjoy watching how our students accept and welcome new students into the pack.

Why do you like working at LCA?
I enjoy interacting with our students and families - our familes are wonderful!

What motivated you to become a staff member here?
Before I worked here, I was at home full-time with my children, so I like the idea of being here all day where they are. I enjoy that I work with people who share similar beliefs.

What is a unique experience, talent, or interest that you bring to LCA to help shape the atmosphere of the school?
I understand the value of making a good first impression and what that means to new families that come to LCA. There are great things happening in every class, and I want new families to feel a part of our culture.

What do you want the students to gain from knowing you?
I hope they gain the reality that they are valued and no matter what their choices are, that they are loved and accepted.

What do you love about LCA?
Our great students and teachers.

What do you like teaching at LCA?
Of all the things that I've taught over the years, Math is one of my favorites. Beyond teaching, I love my role as Guidance Counselor.

What motivated you to become a teacher at LCA?
I started working at Dayton Christian over 20 years ago, and have transitioned to Xenia Christian, and now to LCA.

How do you teach a biblical worldview?
By sharing God's Word whenever I have the opportunity, and trying to model His grace and love as I interact and develop relationships with students.

What is a unique experience, talent, or interest that you bring to your classroom?
Various life experiences, such as being a Jewish believer in Christ, and travelling all over the U.S.  I love to share the ways that I've seen God working in my life over the years.

What sets LCA students apart from students from other schools?
Our classes seem to grow and mature as a group and become a family.

How do you teach the mission of LCA?
By supporting the family and church in encouraging our students to become more like Jesus. I think this is best done in developing great relationships with our students, pointing them in the right direction.

What do you admire most in a student?
Someone who knows when to be serious, and how to have positive natured fun. A good sense of humor is important.

What do you love about LCA?
I love the spirit of the students, their energy, and the fun they have. I love hanging out with high school kids. I love that we are all about living a Christ-filled life; that is most important to us.

Why do you like teaching at LCA?
Because I can integrate Christianity, be myself, and try new things. I love that most students care about learning, my husband is the leader, and it is a beautiful campus.

What motivated you to become a teacher at LCA?
It was a strong Christian school in town and my family was already involved in it.

How do you teach a biblical worldview?
By sharing how God is the Creator and he uses math as a language. Also, by sharing my struggles and trials with God, and talking a lot about how important Christianity is in everything we do.

What is a unique experience, talent, or interest that you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students?
I am passionate about math. I have lived life in lots of different Christian schools and I have raised 4 sons and been on lots of missions trips. I also understand what colleges want, so I can help students be aware of the demands that colleges have and how to meet them.
